To the William Paterson University Community

We are very pleased to be designated to receive $30 million from the Building Our Future Bond Act and we are proceeding with plans to build a new academic building on our campus.  I invite you to join us for a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, October 10, at 10 a.m., at the construction site adjacent to Raubinger Hall. The ceremony is expected to last approximately an hour.

At the kickoff we will provide details about our plans and unveil architectural renderings of the new building.  We will be building a $40 million, 78,000-square-foot state-of-the-art teaching and research facility that will include 16 general-use classrooms as well as specialized classrooms and clinical spaces for our well-established and expanding programs in nursing, communication disorders, and public health, programs that are designed to meet the burgeoning statewide need for health care professionals.  The project will also contribute to our state economy by employing well over one hundred New Jersey construction and support workers.

I hope that you are able to join us on October 10 as we recognize this exciting development, which is the first step in our plans to modernize the academic core of the campus.

Sincerely,

Kathleen Waldron
