Toshiko Akiyoshi – Lew Tabackin Quartet

The accomplished pianist, composer, and arranger Toshiko Akiyoshi makes a long-awaited return appearance to the Jazz Room as a centerpiece of the campus’s 2013 Cross-Cultural Arts Festival. The group features her husband, the virtuoso saxophonist and flutist Lew Tabackin. The quartet includes Akiyoshi on piano, Tabackin on tenor saxophone and flute, Paul Gill on bass, and Aaron Kimmel on drums.
