Back to Announcements » Lavender Graduation Cords and Awards Date Submitted: 03/22/2021 Submitted By: Center for Diversity & Inclusion / Yolany Gonell The 2nd Annual Lavender Graduation Ceremony is set for April 15th, 2021 from 6PM-7PM and will be pre-recorded. Lavender Graduation marks accomplishments, successes, and experiences of our LGBTQI+ student community and their allies. An important part of the Lavender Graduation is the conferring lavender cords to graduating seniors to wear as a part of their graduation attire. If you know of any student who you think will be interested in receiving a lavender cord and/or would like to be recognized at the graduation, please have them complete the following: : https://bit.ly/2VVa54C; Deadline April 30th. We also encourage you to nominate a student for the Lavender Awards that are given out during the graduation. The awards have a wide range of specifications and it is easy to nominate a student who has made a difference at William Paterson University for our LGBTQIA+ community.
