Library Information for Palm PDAs

You can keep library hours and contact information with you by creating an AvantGo custom channel that links to a web page containing library hours and contact information. The AvantGo basic account is free of charge.

1. Point your browser to http://www.avantgo.com.
2. Click on My AvantGo Consumer Service.
3. If you already have an AvantGo account, sign in. If you do not have an AvantGo account, follow onscreen instructions to create one.
4. Click on the gray MyAccount tab on right side of the screen.
5. Under the Subscriptions heading, click on Create a Custom Channel.
6. Channel Title
   Title: Cheng Library
   Location: http://www.wpunj.edu/library/ChengPDA.htm
7. Channel Size
   Maximun Channel Size: 100K
   Link Depth: 1
   Include Images: Click Yes (Channel size is very small with one small graphic)
   Follow Off-Site Links: Click No
8. Channel Refresh
   Refresh this channel: on every sync
9. Click Save Channel
10. On your next sync, the Cheng Library channel will be added to the AvantGo My Channels list on your PDA.
