Department of Sociology Faculty
Mary Pat Baumgartner(Associate Professor) received her B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees from Yale University. She teaches Sociology of Law, Social Deviance, and Social Problems. Her publications include The Moral Order of a Suburb (Oxford University Press, 1988) and a number of articles and reviews. Among the latter are "Sociology of Law," in the Companion to the Philosophy of Law and Legal Theory , edited by Dennis Patterson; "Violent Networks: The Origins and Management of Domestic Conflict,: in Aggression and Violence: Social Interactionist Perspectives, edited by Richard B. Felson and James T. Tedeschi.
