Our Mission

Transfer Student Experience is committed to the mission of William Paterson University and embodies its core values of academic excellence, creating knowledge, student success, diversity and citizenship.  TSE assists Undergraduate Admissions in conversion efforts to secure accepted new transfer applicants to deposited students at the University and is responsive to all prospective and currently enrolled transfer and readmitted students and parents. It is the goal of TSE to build a transfer-receptive environment at the University and take a proactive role in our students’ transitional process, assist in the acclimation of transfer students and the re-acclimation of readmitted students to WPU, and promote student engagement and student success.

Within the Division of Academic Affairs, TSE works collaboratively with Enrollment Management and Student Development; sustaining positive colleague interaction to obtain information and assistance to help our transfer and readmitted students as they persist toward degree completion at William Paterson University.  Accordingly, it is the objective of TSE to serve as a resource to all transfer and readmitted students’ through-out their tenure at the University, providing services, academic guidance, and advocacy which support effective learning in their pursuit of academic excellence.
