ID Access Control and Keys
The University utilizes three types of access control for campus buildings, offices and parking gates. Accessibility to parking gates, buildings and offices are via one of two electronic systems that utilize the University’s ID card or a key system.
The activation of University ID cards for the purpose of accessing Parking Gates and University Buildings is the responsibility of the Telecommunications Department. Access to offices utilizing Onity electronic locks or keys is the responsibility of the Physical Plant Operations office. University ID cards are issued by Hospitality Services in the University Commons/Student Center Room 110. Please read the University policies regarding Access Control and Building Security before submitting the Access Request Form.
The online Access Request Form must be completed and approved by the Department Chair or Director and Academic Dean, if applicable, for all ID Access Control and/or keys.
Parking Gate and Building Access is activated remotely to the employee ID card upon approval to the Employee ID card. Employees with offices utilizing Onity electronic locks must have their physical ID card activated by the Physical Plant Operations Office on the main campus. Keys to offices are also distributed by the Physical Plant Operations Office.
