We can teach your sales team whenever and wherever it works best for them!
RBI can extend the reach and effectiveness of your company's sales education initiatives through distance learning. We have expertise in a wide range of state-of-the-art learning delivery systems including online courses, videoconferencing, and electronic media delivery. We design programs that blend these learning delivery systems to fit the needs of our clients.
Our professional development programs can be customized for you - tailored to your products, services, and industry and offered in RBI's state-of-the-art sales lab or on-site at locations convenient for your team.
Recent research has found that participants in blended learning programs actually learned and retained more than those in traditional classroom instruction. The key is matching the learning approach to the specific skills and knowledge being taught.
In most typical classroom training programs, a great deal of time is often spent covering information that could more easily and effectively be learned by the participants on their own. The result is that in typical training programs, workshop time needed for valuable skill practice must compete with time devoted to information exchange. RBI's blended learning approach provides a self study information system that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from anywhere the learner can access a computer or the Internet.
In designing our professional sales development programs, RBI identifies the components of our programs that can be delivered more effectively and efficiently via distance learning from those that need face-to-face interaction.
Our programs combine a mix of instructor-led, self-paced, and Web-based learning to engage the participants.
Our online discussion forums and virtual classrooms can also be used to engage program participants, creating a sense of community in the learning group even before they meet face-to-face. This online forum can be continued after the workshop ends for networking and information exchange. This is especially valuable where the program participants are geographically dispersed and may not have an opportunity to meet again in person to share experiences.
Programs may use one or more special features to deliver information and engage the learner. These include:
- Virtual classrooms
- Downloadable workbooks, articles, reports, case studies (usually in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format)
- PowerPoint slide shows often with audio narration
- Video clips
- Discussion forums
- Simulations (animated case study exercises that require solving a sales or business problem and resulting in different outcomes depending on the participant's answers to questions and solutions to problems)
- Surveys
- Pre-tests and post-tests
- Instructor drop box for participants to submit exercises and assignments and retrieve graded assignments
- Profiles and photos of the faculty and profiles of the participants in a particular course
- Confidential grading results
- Resources section (articles, relevant web sites, special events)
