To the William Paterson University Community
William Paterson University is proud to host the 2011 New Jersey-Zhejiang Investment and Trade Symposium on campus on Wednesday, July 20, 2011. This important event—in celebration of the thirtieth anniversary of the relationship between the State of New Jersey and Zhejiang Province in China—promotes economic cooperation and cultural understanding between the citizens of New Jersey and Zhejiang Province.
Distinguished guests will include New Jersey Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno, Zhao Hongzhu, Secretary of Zhejiang Province in China, Peng Keyu, consul general in New York for the People’s Republic of China, and He Zhi-Yun, vice chairman of the university affairs committee of Zhejiang University of Technology—our primary university partner in China.
The Symposium is expected to draw more than 700 attendees, including more than 300 Zhejiang business, university and governmental representatives, who will engage in individual business-to-business sessions with more than 275 New Jersey business executives. These sessions are designed to foster the development of trade and encourage capital investment and joint business ventures.
Please note that due to this special event, Lot 5 will be closed throughout the day Wednesday. Also, please be aware that high traffic volume is anticipated on Pompton Road at mid-day and late afternoon as event participants arrive and depart through Entry 4, so it is recommended that members of the campus community avoid this area during the afternoon if possible.
Thank you to all those in the University community who have worked so hard to facilitate this significant event for our campus and for the State of New Jersey.
