To the William Paterson University Community

As we approach the ten-year anniversary of September 11, 2001, it is almost hard to believe that a decade has passed since that day that changed so much. Even now, our memories of that day remain strong, as do our recollections of how our communities and our nation came together.

Many of us will honor the day and its impact by participating in one or more of the many events organized throughout our region. I am thankful to our colleagues on campus who are involved with the Gandhian Forum for Peace and Justice for organizing a day of films and panel discussions on Monday, September 12 as a means to reflect on the events of September 11, 2001. The University is also proud to work with the Township of Wayne as a sponsor of the “Tunnel to Towers” 5K walk/run on Sunday, September 11, at Wayne Valley High School in commemoration of the tenth anniversary. I encourage your participation in these events.
