To the William Paterson University Community
Thank you to the William Paterson University campus community for your continued patience as we work to return the campus to normal operations.
PSE&G has been on campus to assess damage to their equipment and to address the repair needed to restore power to the campus. Unfortunately, we have not yet received a timetable so we are unable to advise the community regarding plans for next week. We will continue to provide updates to you on a regular basis. Students in the residence halls remain safe and sound. Dining services continue to be available in Speert Hall. Please continue to check our communications channels for details.
The campus phone system is temporarily out of service. To reach campus police call 1-862-221-2326.
We are in the process of rescheduling spring registration, which will now begin the week of November 12. Students will receive details by email.
No one – students or faculty – will be penalized for any deadlines missed because of the storm.
As soon as classes are back in session, Provost Weil will provide details on how we will make up the lost class time.
Through this tragedy and the struggle to recover, I continue to feel great pride in our campus community. I know how difficult it is to balance concerns for your families and communities with concerns about classes and work responsibilities.
I am pleased to hear about so many of our students who have already pursued volunteer efforts in support of their communities. Your efforts are inspiring. I wish all the best to you and your families.
