Responsible Conduct of Research
The National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) have specific requirements for the training of students involved in funded research in the responsible conduct of research (RCR). WPUNJ has established the following policy for undergraduate and graduate students who are funded by either of these agencies as well as their faculty advisors or supervisors.
WPUNJ provides an online training program to support these NSF and NIH requirements. Click on the following link to the CITI Program, register as a member of the WPUNJ community and select the appropriate RCR Course. Please note, if someone has already completed training in the use of human subjects in research, he/she should use that same login information. When the course is completed, a copy of the Certification is also provided to the Office of Sponsored Programs.
This is not required for anyone who's involvement in research is not funded by the NSF or NIH. However, the course is available to anyone who wishes to learn more about the current standards and expectations regarding the responsible conduct of research.
