U.S. Department of Agriculture - NRI: Epidemiological Approaches for Food Safety: Supports research on disease-causing bacteria that contaminate food, with the goal of decreasing food-borne illnesses.

 

U.S. Department of Agriculture - NRI: Bioactive Food Components for Optimal Health: Supports research to improve understanding of the role of foods and their biologically active components (e.g., phytochemicals) in promoting health.

 

John A. Hartford Foundation/American Academy of Nursing - Building Academic Geriatric Nursing Capacity Awards Program: Foundation seeks to enhance training of physicians, nurses, social workers & other health professionals who care for older adults.

 

Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America - Research Awards: Supports basic biomed & clinical research on the etiology, therapy, pathogenesis, & prevention of Crohn's disease & ulcerative colitis.

 

Health Resources and Services Administration - Nurse Education Practice and Retention            (NEPR): Grants are awarded to eligible institutions for projects to strengthen and enhance the capacity for nurse education, practice and retention to address the nursing shortage.

 

Health Resources and Services Administration - Advanced Education Nursing Grants: Provides awards to eligible institutions for projects that support the enhancement of advanced nursing education & practice.

 

Health Resources and Services Administration - Nursing Workforce Diversity Grants: Grants are awarded to increase nursing education opportunities for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds (including racial & ethnic minorities underrepresented among registered nurses) by providing student scholarships or stipends, pre-entry preparation, & retention activities.
