Open Society Institute:  Open Society Institute Educational Grants: Monies allocated mostly for  equipment, fellowships, general/operating support, internship funds, professorships, program development, research and scholarship funds. Individual grants and scholarships are also awarded. Areas include: Arts, general education, health/PE, math, reading, science/environmental, social studies.

 

NEA Grants for Artistic Excellence: Access to Artistic Excellence encourages and supports artistic creativity, preserves our diverse cultural heritage, and makes the arts more widely available in communities throughout the country

 

Business & Economics

Kazanjian (Calvin K.) Economics Foundation: Supports a wide range of projects that aim to increase economic literacy, especially the best way  to teach the subject (research, curriculum development); the impact of economic education (policy studies, measurement of economic understanding); & encouragement of youth/young adults to participate in the economic system after  finishing school

 

Computers & Technology

NSF: Science, Tech., Engineering, & Math Talent Expansion Program (STEP): Supports projects to increase the number of student receiving associate or baccalaureate degrees in established or emerging fields within science, technology, engineering, & mathematics (STEM).
