President Waldron Receives Community Award from St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital

President Kathleen Waldron received the Michael and Yolanda Simonelli Community Award on behalf of the University at the 2015 St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital Charity Ball. The award was presented in recognition of the University’s engagement with its community and the development of programs to meet the needs of a wide range of people from children to adults. The annual event supports the St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital Foundation.

“I am truly honored to receive this award from the St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital Foundation on behalf of the University,” says President Waldron. “We are proud of our long relationship with St. Joseph’s, and work closely with them on a wide range of mutual topics in the sciences, including curriculum, field experiences for our nursing and kinesiology students, workshops and programs for the community, and emergency preparedness. We look forward to continuing to develop additional opportunities for collaboration.”
