Edward Owusu-Ansah Named Dean of Cheng Library

Edward Owusu-Ansah has joined the University as dean of the David and Lorraine Cheng Library. He most recently served as dean of library and university collections and interim dean of the Graduate College at East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania. During his tenure at East Stroudsburg, Owusu-Ansah was responsible for planning, budgeting, and allocations for the library and he was heavily involved in the strategic planning efforts of the university. Previously, he served as chief librarian and chair of the Robert J. Kibbie Library at Kingsborough Community College, and held appointments at Queens College and the College of Staten Island in the CUNY system.

Originally from Africa, Owusu-Ansah earned his MLS degree from Queens College, and holds an MA and a PhD in sociology as well as an MA in library studies from Eötvös Lorand University, Budapest, Hungary.
