The Kingston Trio to Perform at William Paterson University on October 26
The Kingston Trio, the iconic American folk group, will perform as part of WP Presents! at William Paterson University in Wayne on Friday, October 26 at 8 p.m. in the Shea Center for Performing Arts on campus.
The Kingston Trio helped bring folk music into the mainstream during the late 1950s. Their smash hit “Tom Dooley” led to a folk music boom that paved the way for groups and performers such as The Limelighters, Joan Baez, Peter, Paul and Mary, the Chad Mitchell Trio and Bob Dylan. The Kingston Trio continues to play folk music more than five decades after their debut.
Tickets to the performance are $40 gold circle, $35 rear orchestra and $25 loge. Students, senior citizens and William Paterson alumni, faculty and staff discounts apply. Group rates are available.
