A twelve-member delegation from Zhejiang Province in China visited the University on May 31 in preparation for an event in July that will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the province-state relationship between the State of New Jersey and Zhejiang.
William Paterson will host a large business meeting on July 20 between more than 200 senior business leaders from Zhejiang Province and their New Jersey counterparts. The Zhejiang delegation will include companies from a wide range of industry sectors ranging from renewable energy and agriculture to finance and manufacturing. Zhejiang is one of China's richest provinces, ranked number five in per capita GDP.
The meeting at William Paterson will be part of a statewide event coordinated through the New Jersey Business Action Center.
In 2010, the University signed a sister university strategic relationship memorandum with Zhejiang University of Technology in Hangzhou, that established William Paterson as the Chinese university’s Students Overseas Training Center for North America.
