http://www.wpunj.edu/studentaccounts/health-insurance-waiver.dot

In accordance with New Jersey law, all non-international full-time students and all international full and part-time students are mandated to have health insurance.  For health insurance purposes, full time is defined as an undergraduate taking 12 or more credit hours or a graduate student taking 9 or more credits.

If you already have coverage that is comparable to the University Health Plan and do not wish to supplement your plan with the University's Plan, you must complete the on-line Health Insurance Waiver.  Please note that the waiver form must be completed each academic year and only if you already have coverage that is comparable to the University Health Plan. For information regarding the insurance coverage provided by United Health Care, please use the following link: www.firststudent.com.

Once the waiver form is submitted, it's the student's responsibility to ensure that the charge has been reversed on the account.

The waiver form must be completed by October 1, 2010 for the Fall 2010 semester to have the fee removed from your bill. For the Spring 2011 semester, new incoming students and students who changed from a part-time status to a full-time status must submit the waiver on or before February 18, 2011

If the waiver form is not received by the deadline date, the student will be officially enrolled in the plan.  There will be no exceptions after the deadline date.
