Students interested in obtaining Secondary Education (K-12) Teacher Certification in Mathematics must complete, in addition to one of the Mathematics Track or Applied Mathematics Track, a total of 30 extra credits from courses prescribed by the Department of Secondary and Middle School Education.

As mandated by the NCTM standards, the following additional math courses are required:

  • MATH 211- The History of Mathematics
  • MATH 323 - Foundation of Geometry
  • MATH 324 - Probability and Statistics
