If you have any questions regarding your alumni benefits or you need an alumni I.D. card, please call us at (973) 720-2175. Regular business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Summer hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., Monday through Thursday. If the office is closed, please leave a message on voicemail.

Alumni Search Service

If you wish to contact a former class mate and don't have a current address, the Alumni Office will forward a letter from you to your friend. Call us at (973) 720-2175 to determine if we have your friend's address.

Athletic Facilities

You and one guest have free use of the pool, tennis courts and Wightman Gymnasium. Call (973) 720-2356 for gymnasium and tennis court information, and (973) 720-2777 for pool hours.

Child Care Center

Alumni are charged reasonable rates for child care on campus. Children must be 2 ½ to 6 years old, and toilet trained. Call (973) 720-2529 or 2724.

You and your family can use the Rec Center facilities and equipment for a small fee, including:

Language Lab

You can practice your foreign language skills at the Language Lab, which is open five days a week and is free to alumni. For hours and information, call (973) 720-2344.

Speech and Hearing Clinic

You and your family can use the clinic, which offers comprehensive treatment for communication disorders in children and adults for:

Aphasia Articulation
Voice Hearing Impairment
Cerebral Palsy
Cleft Palate
Laryngectomee
Language Fluency
Foreign Accents
Neurological Disorders

Audiological services include complete hearing testing, auditory training, aural rehabilitation, hearing aid evaluations and central auditory processing. The clinic is also open to the general public, and is accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Athletic Events

We invite you to show your Pioneer spirit by joining us at athletic events. Enjoy the thrill of live sports action from a seat that's practically in your own backyard. Whether you prefer the crisp autumn afternoons or evenings and the action on the football field, or the springtime release of baseball or softball games, the activities on Wightman Field or in the Rec Center will suit every fan. You are entitled to reduced rates to some games. For schedules and complete information, call the Athletics Department at (973) 720-2100.

Regional Receptions

The Alumni Association sponsors periodic receptions in different parts of the country. We have had gatherings in San Francisco, Southern California, Boston, Chicago, Washington, DC, Virginia, Southern New Jersey, Northern New Jersey and all parts of Florida. Call (973) 720-2175.

Cultural Activities

Theater productions, jazz concerts, the Distinguished Lecturer Series, Wayne Chamber Orchestra concerts, art exhibits and art lectures are open to alumni, some at reduced rates.

Credit Union Membership

Alumni are eligible to join the North Jersey Federal Credit Union in Totowa. Services include savings accounts, money market accounts, IRAs, CDs and loans (auto, personal, first and second mortgage and home equity). For further information, call (973) 785-9200.

Spotlight

Published quarterly, the Alumni Association newspaper informs you of Alumni Association and University activities. For the latest news about classmates' accomplishments, turn to the "Alumni in the News" section.

VIP Newsletter

Alumni who donate $50 or more are VIPs (Very Important Pioneers). You not only receive the VIP Newsletter, but you can look forward to special seating at commencement, and you are invited to other University events commensurate with your level of support.

Parking Privileges on Campus

Alumni are encouraged to return to campus often, and can obtain an alumni decal for their car window from the Alumni Office. Park only in the visitor's or student lots. However, alumni who enroll for additional courses are required to purchase a student parking permit.

Alumni Chapter Membership

Alumni who qualify may join existing chapters (Latino, Education and Nursing) or start a new chapter based on special interests, major or location. A Florida chapter is currently being created.

Volunteer Opportunities

University alumni are welcome to participate in many events and activities, which include attending Homecoming to recruiting future University students to leading one of our alumni groups.  Here's your chance to become a volunteer for the following:

bulletFriends of the Gallery/Artists' Network: Support the visual arts and University art scholarships.
bulletPioneer Athletic Club (PAC):  Support group for University varsity athletic teams.
bulletParents Association:  Parents of current and former students join together in supporting higher education.
bulletPhonathon: Volunteers call alumni for donations to the annual fund, and maintain a good rapport with alumni.
bulletRegional Representatives:  Alumni represent University worldwide. Special Interest
bulletAlumni Groups:  Alumni from different clubs, organizations and academic majors interact informally. Some of the special interest groups include alumni from athletic teams, the Beacon, nursing majors, fraternities and sororities.
