The following information will guide you through the degree audit.

  1. Some courses are used to fulfill more than one requirement within this audit. Credits should be counted only once.
  2. Deficiency requirements (Basic Skills) do not count toward graduation. 
  3. Waived courses do not carry credit towards the degree.
  4. Questions concerning degree requirements, waivers or course substitutions should be directed to your Academic Advisor.
  5. Students interested in Teaching Certification programs should contact Curriculum and Instruction Department.
  6. All degree and major requirements must be completed to graduate. Credits may exceed the 128 minimum.

Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics

128 hour minimum required for degree. You must maintain a 2.000 GPA to graduate [2.5 GPA for certification]

General Education

Freshman Seminar

Freshmen and transfer students with 13 credits or less must complete the following one (1) course:

  • WPC 101

Art And Communication

Complete two (2) courses from the following list:

Humanities

Complete the following five (5) courses: 

  • ENG 110

Social Science

Complete three (3) courses from the following list:

  • SOC 102
  • ECON 201

No more than one course per discipline. Ed majors need  PSY 110:

Science

Complete two (2) courses from the following list:

Foreign Language

Complete two (2) courses from the same foreign language: 

  • Arabic
  • Chinese

  • Hebrew
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Latin
  • Portuguese
  • Russian
  • Spanish
  • Swahili

Note: Two different languages will not satisfy this requirement.

Mathematics

Complete the following course one (1) course:

  • MATH 160

Racism and Sexism

Complete one (1) course from the following list: 

  • WS 110
  • WS 150 
  • ARCS 150
  • ARCS 155

Health and Movement Science

Complete one (1) course from the following list: 

  • PEGE 150
  • CMHLL 120

 

Non Western Requirement 

Complete one (1) course from the approved Non- Western listing.
Note: Course credits for this requirement should be counted only once.

General Education Electives

Complete two (2) courses from the General Education Electives list in the Master Schedule.

Upper Level Electives

Complete any three (3) courses 200 level or above excluding major and professional education courses. Ed. majors need PSY 210.

Applied Mathematics Track

Complete the following. A minimum of 41 hours and a grade point average of 2.000 must be earned in your major to graduate.

Mathematics Track

Complete the following. A minimum of 40 hours and a grade point average of 2.000 must be earned in your major to graduate.
