Resources for Alumni & Community Users
The Cheng Library welcomes WPUNJ alumni and non-WPUNJ members of the community to come into the Library and make use of the main and reference collections. You may use these materials freely within the Library. Alumni who present a valid WPUNJ Alumni Card (call 973-720-2175 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information) may borrow up to 30 items for 28 days (books). See Lending Services for more information.
Community members who are at least 18 years of age, may borrow materials with a valid public library card from the following towns: Bloomingdale, Caldwell, Cedar Grove, Clifton, Fairfield, Haledon, Little Falls, North Haledon, Orange, Passaic, Paterson, Pompton Lakes, Ringwood, Totowa, Wanaque, Wayne, West Milford, or Woodland Park - and a second form of identification. You may borrow up to 3 items at a time.
Use of Cheng Library Computers
Computing facilities are intended primarily for the use of WPUNJ currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff. During busy times WPUNJ users have priority over Alumni and Community Users.
In order to use the computing facilities, Alumni and Community Users must obtain a Guest Account at the Reference Desk. This account is of limited duration and for use only in the Library. It does not include email, off-campus access, or any other specialized privileges. Users agree to abide by the University's Responsible User Policy.
Alumni and Community Users who wish to print will need to obtain a Guest Printing Card from a dispenser located near the Library's copiers. Users will deposit funds on the card to cover printing costs (5¢ per two-sided page, b/w only). Reference Staff will be happy to assist you in obtaining a Guest Account and Guest Printing Card.
