Media Services strip

Introduction

Media Services is one of the departments of Educational Technology Services, which was formed under the merger of the Library and Information and Research Technology (IRT) in 1997 to support the University's instructional mission by delivering information of every format to students, faculty, and staff. The other department is Cable/Satellite Network Delivery.

Media Services is located on the first floor of the David & Lorraine Cheng Library. Services include:

  • circulation of videotapes, videodiscs, audio compact discs, films, audiocassettes, kits, prints, filmstrips, and slides
  • checkout of media materials
  • checkout of equipment
  • chechout of reserve materials (for in-house use)
  • previewing and listening facilities
  • duplications of media
  • delivery of equipment and software to selected academic buildings
  • repair and maintenance of software and equipment
  • consultation on selection and operation of software and equipment
