Close to a thousand course sections at WPUNJ now use the Blackboard (Bb) virtual learning environment either to teach classes at a distance or as an adjunct to the course material offered in a traditional class. If you are reading this chances are good that one or more of your instructors has chonse to employ of Bb, and this site will help you take advantage of the tool

Course Availability

• Students are enrolled in classes on the first day of the semester; you should not expect to see any course material until then.
• All distance learning courses (section -80) are made available to students on the first day of the semester.
• All other courses are activated by the instructor at his/her discretion. Students will not be able to access -- or even see -- course content until/unless faculty make the course shell available.
• If you don't see a link for one of your classes it your instructor is not using the tool; if s/he does not mention Bb in class you should not expect to see a Bb link on your site.
• If your instructor directs you to use Bb and you still don't see the course link on your Bb site, please contact the Bb Support Center: http://euphrates.wpunj.edu/bb/sc/

NOTE: Students are automatically enrolled in classes, but the process takes up to a day from the time your are officially registered. For example, if you register on a Thursday morning you should not expect to see Bb course content until sometime Friday morning!

Instructions for student access, login & password

• Get online and point your web browser to this address:
  http://bb.wpunj.edu
• Click on the Login button, then enter your username and password and click "Login."
• Use your network username and password, that is the same credentials you use for accessing WPUNJ Student Email and the WPConnect Portal.

  NOTE: The default password for students NEW in Fall 2006 is the Banner ID, eight numbers beginning with 855

  NOTE on browsers: MS Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox are the suggested browsers, Netscape Navigator, Opera, and Safari are fine, but the AOL browser is not supported. If you must use AOL to access the Internet please minimize their browser and use one of the recommened ones (both are free) instead.

Using the WPUNJ Student Email

• Blackboard does not have its own email server; rather, email is pushed out to WPUNJ Student Email.
• To access WPUNJ Student email please point your browser to:
  http://student.wpunj.edu
  and login using your regular username and password.
• If you do not know your student credentials you can access both through this page: WPUNJ ID/Username Online Help
