| Some tools prove more useful than others,
and many faculty choose to disable certain tools altogether.
For example, because there are a number of calendars on campus,
including the one that might be featured in a course syllabus,
many faculty choose to reduce confusions by disabling the Bb course
calendar. There is nothing wrong with this tool, but faculty are
advised to use one calendar or another, and never more than one.
The graphic on the left is not large enough to list all the tools
in this area, which includes: address book, announcements, calendar
collaborations, communication area, content area, discussion
board, drop box, electric Bb, email, gradebook, groups, manual
observer tools, personal information, resources, roster, staff
information, student home page, tasks, and tool areas.
