Announcements are a good way of conveying routine information to students.
Classroom changes, assignment reminders, and links to pop quizzes are all
some of the things faculty can post in the announcements section. Bb course
pages opens to the Announcements section by default, and students who log on
regularly will have no problem keeping up with the latest course news.
Creating & Editing Announcements
Add an Announcement

Begin by getting online, pointing your web browser to
http://bb.wpunj.edu, logging on and clicking into your course. Enter the Control
Panel and click on Announcements in the Course Tools menu:

and click on the Add Announcement button:
On the ensuing page you'll find Announcement Information, Options, Browse,
and Submit. Begin by entering the body and the title of the announcment,
a quiz reminder from Prof. Asimov in this example:

Choosing Yes in the options area will keep your announcement listed on
your course site for the duration of the course. In the example to the
right the professor has chosen to display the announcement for a week
beginning October 4, 2004.

Next, the faculty member has the choice of setting an
internal link, such as a pointer to
a quiz being offered in the assignments area:
Note that one cannot enter an external link, such as a website

Finally, don't forget to click the Submit button!

- Editing And Removing Announcements
Again, enter the Control Panel and Click on Announcements. Now you'll find a record
of any announcements you've recently added:
- Click the Modify button and you'll be shunted to a page that features
the announcement with the same four features found on the blank annoumcement
page: Information, Options, Browse and Submit. Make any changes to the
text or the availability dates and click Submit.
- Click the Remove button to delete the annoumcent completely. The system
will ask you to confirm that you want the annoucement gone:
