Write a brief essay on the rise of the West between the period 1050 and 1500.
Consider:

a) the technological improvements in agriculture and harnessing nature's power;

b) rise of cities, new class of society institutions;

c) the disasters of the 14th century and recovery in the last half of 15th century. What were the disasters? Causes?

d) the political rise of national monarchies.

You need not go into detail; just give the broad outline of chief factors mentioned above that contributed to the rise of the West up to 1500 AD.
