To update a paper you started in FORUMS using a WORD 97:

UPDATE: Sept 15, 1997
    1. Copying  your paper from Forums
      1. Find the paper you want to update in FORUMS.
      2. Click on the EDIT in FORMS button.
      3. When you see your text, highlight it using the right mouse
      4. When you have hightlighed the entire paper, click on  EDIT at the top of the screen.
      5. On the Menu, Click on Copy.
      6. Minimize Netscape by clicking on the icon at the extreme top left.
      7. Choose Minimize. Netscape now appears as an icon at the bottom of your screen.
    2. Paste your paper into WORD 97
      1. Open WORD 97 (or other Word Processor)
      2. Postion your cursar at the top of the page.
      3. Click on Edit at the top of the screen.
      4. On the drop down menu, click on Paste
      5. Your FORUM document is now available to be worked on.

             B. Copying From WORD PROCESSOR to FORUMS

    1. Copy your paper from WORD 97
      1. At the top of the screen, click on Edit .
      2. On the pull down menu click in Select All.  (You can also highlight your text with the mouse.)
      3. On the same menu, click on Copy.
      4. Minimize WORD 97 by clicking on the icon at the extreme top left.
      5. Choose Minimize WORD should appear as an icon next toNetscape at the bottom of the screen.
    2. Paste your paper into Forums
      1. If Forums/Netscape icon appears at the bottom of the screen, click to maximize.
        1. If your text is in a white box in FORUMS, click on the BACK buttom
        2. This should return you to the outline menu.
        3. Use the POST REPLY button to open up a text window.
      2. If Forums has not been opened yet, open it.
        1. Go to the place where you want to post the reply.
        2. Use the POST REPLY button to open up a text window.
      3. Once you are in the white text entry window click on Edit and the Paste
      4. Your text should appear.
      5. Save by clicking on POST REPLY and then CONFIRM.
If, after you PASTE, you don't get anything, or get the wrong piece, go back and start from the last step that worked.

HINT: CONTROL INSERT is a shortcut to paste 
             CONTROL-A is a short cut to copy all
