1. One, using the article handed out in class, write an abstract of the article and post it in the Portfolio Forum.
2. Two, write a two paged typed essay on a social problem. Be sure to identify why the topic should be of interest to your readers. Make sure that you review the notes in class and on  the class notes page.

How to post the papers: Click on New Thread on the opening screen. When the second screen appears with a list of forums, highlight Portfolio and use your name as the thread in the blank field . In the initial message, type in your name. POST this message. (This will title the thread with your name.)

Next, click on REPLY to the message that you have just created. If you have stored your paper on disk, you can then open up the ADVANCED window and attach your paper to the conference. This is done by identifying the drive and path where your paper is located. If you want to type your paper in directly, you can type it in the white box provided. (Put in a black line between paragraphs.)

If you need to edit you paper, find it, open it and click on EDIT. Make changes and the POST the paper. When you are done, click on POST and wait til your paper is posted.
