Required text:
Visual Basic 5 Shelly/Boyd and Fraser 1998
Obtain 1 3 ½ HD disk.

Course Objectives:
The goal of the course is to provide the student with an understanding of the basic constructs of structured programming and to teach the student to apply these concepts using the BASIC programming language.

Students will write programs using QBASIC and, utilizing a graphical user interface, in Visual Basic.

Grade is based on:
3 Exams 50%
2 Projects 25%
Homework 25%

There are no makeup exams.

Attendance is taken each class. Warning letters will be sent if a student misses 3 classes in a row. An automatic failure is given to anyone missing 7 classes without being excused.
