Configuring Comkit For Macintosh

What You need to begin: The William Paterson University Comkit is compatible with Macintosh Computers. You do not need any disks. All you need is the information from this documentation. You will also need Macintosh TCP/IP, and the PPP Control Panel (which the school cannot provide for you). These items are included in all recent Macintosh System Software releases, so will not need to worry about these items unless you are using older versions of Macintosh System software

System Software (Operating System): There are differences in System 7 (including system 7.5 and up) and the latest System Software, System 8 and 8.1. See the instructions for the version of Macintosh System you use. If you are not sure what System Software you are using, there is a simple way to check. Turn on your Macintosh. When it is finished booting up, you can check the Apple menu (an icon of an apple ) in the upper-left hand corner of the screen. Make sure that no other windows are active. Select "About This Computer". A window will open up and tell you the amount of memory your computer has, The amount of memory the computer is using at the moment, the applications you are currently running, and most importantly here, the System Software you are using.
