ALANA is the New Jersey Project's network by and for women of color in higher education in New Jersey. Since 1990, the Project has been sponsoring ALANA conferences and workshops that bring together faculty and staff from around the state. In addition to showcasing speakers on topics of broad interest, these meetings provide nuts and bolts information about negotiating a successful career within the academy and provide opportunities for networking. Linda Easton Harvest (Essex County College) currently serves as Coordinator of the organization; founding coordinator is Charley Flint (William Paterson University).
