If you hide the axes but leave the "snap-to-grid" feature selected, it works like a geoboard.

Arcs can be generated - and sectors can be shaded.
A permanent locus can be generated and printed.
Script Tools - anything that you make a script for can be instantly accessible. This is a FANTASTIC feature. i.e., Once you have a script for a centroid you simply click at the locations you wish to use for the vertices of the original triangle and the entire construction is done for you - GREAT for demonstrations!!!
Key Curriculum Press publishes a series of activity books to be used with The Geometer's Sketchpad. Current Titles include: Exploring Geometry, Pythagoras Plugged In, Exploring Conic Sections, Exploring Trigonometry, and Perspective Drawing. A Middle School Activity book is in the works for April of 1996.
