MENUS NEEDED:
To demonstrate the BETWEENNESS THEOREM on GSP
- Use SEGMENT TOOL to draw SEGMENT AB. Use SELECT TOOL (and Shift)
to select both endpoints. Use Display Menu to Show
Labels.
- SELECT segment and Use Construct Menu to put Point on
Object. Display to Show label.
- SELECT (Use Shift) two of the points, then use Measure
Menu to measure each distance from A to C, B to C and A to
B.
- SELECT(Use Shift) distance measures of AC and CB and use
Measure Menu to Calculate the sum.
- Drag point C along segment AB while holding down SHIFT.
- Use A(lphabet) TOOL to record your observations. Include your
name and class.
- Use Edit menu to Select All , then File Menu to
Print .
- Hand in completed copy.
NOTES TO TEACHER:
- The sum of segments AC and CB remains constant while the
individual lengths change.
- Dragging B changes the length of AB, changing the sum.
