GSP STEPS NEEDED:
GSP review of basic steps
- To Measure Length: SELECT the Points and Measure Distance
or SELECT the Segment and Measure Length.
- To Measure Angles: SELECT the three points with the vertex point in
the middle. Measure Angle.
- To construct a point on an object that can not be moved off of the
object: SELECT the object and Construct Point on Object.
- To Construct Perpendicular or Parallel lines: SELECT a line and a
point which the new line should intersect. On the Construct Menu
choose Parallel line or Perpendicular line.

Use of GSP begins with question 5.
SKETCH FOR QUESTION 5-7
- On File open New Sketch. With the LINE TOOL, DRAW
line AB. With the POINT TOOL, DRAW points C and F. (Use the HAND TOOL
to change the name of the point to F.)
- SELECT line AB. On the Transform Menu choose Mark mirror.
- SELECT Point C. On the Transform Menu choose Reflect .
Repeat for point F. (The reflected images will be labeled C- Prime and F-
Prime. Rename them D and E to make answering the questions easier).
- After constructing this figure, display the measures on the sketch.
Answer the questions ON THE SKETCH with the HAND TOOL (Alphabet).
- ON FILE SAVE. Name the sketch UCSMP 4-3/5-7
FOR QUESTIONS 8 Through 11.
Open a New Sketch for Question 8 and use the same format as above,
save as UCSMP 4-3 # 8. Open another New Sketch for Questions 9
and 10 and a New Sketch for Question 11. You should have 4 Sketches
saved.
If time, use GSP for the Review questions 13 and 14 and for
the Exploration question 22, otherwise use protractor and compass
at home to complete the assignment.
