International Conference on "Strengthening the Role of Youth in Sustainable Development"
Barbados, 1998

This is a conference being planned by Insula-Caribbean, in collaboration with the Executive Committee of Non-governmental Organizations/Department of Public Information, U.N.
The objective is to explore ways of strengthening the role of youth and relevant non-governmental organizations in sustainable development activities, paying particular attention to problems of marginalized youth and their families, human resource development and strategies of stimulating awareness of environmental issues and participation in the conservation and management of natural resources.
