On Campus CONCERN EAP The EAP is a service for William Paterson University faculty and staff and their household members. The EAP offers confidential short term counseling and referral for problems ranging from work-related concerns to personal difficulties that affect an individual's everyday life. Trained counselors help with problems such as career issues, child care, elder care, family and workplace relationship problems, finances, health care, mental health, retirement, substance abuse, and Work/Life balance. Off Campus Contact Hotline/Morris-Passaic A helpline serving the community. Services include crisis intervention, information and referral to other helping agencies, and telephone counseling for those in need of a trained volunteer listener. Family Intervention/Morris/Community Program Program offers family, marital, and individual counseling on a variety of issues. Emphasis is on the family aspect of problems and how members can work together to alleviate problems. Girls and Boys Town National Hotline Highly trained counselors provide short term crisis counseling, referral to local resources, and emergency intervention as needed. Problems dealt with include family conflicts, suicide, pregnancy, abuse, running away, and alcohol/drug abuse. Provided by Father Flanagan's Boy's Home. Brochures available. Al-Anon Information Service Peer group support for relatives, friends, and teenage children of alcoholics. Also includes group discussion to solve mutual problems. Meetings held regularly throughout northern NJ, including Morris and Passaic counties. Meeting sites may be obtained by contacting the agency directly. North Jersey Consultation Center The North Jersey Consultation Center, NJCC, is a mental health resource which provides short- or long-term treatment services to the community with fees based on ability to pay. NJCC therapists work with people of all ages-children, adolescents, and adults-using a variety of modalities including individual, couple, family, and group therapy. At NJCC our aim is to help people improve the quality of their lives and their relationships with others. Necessary Documentation: may be self referred, person must call Rutgers Cooperative/Passaic/Expanded Food & Nutrition Education EFNEP helps families, youth, and adolescents acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and changed behavior necessary for nutritionally sound diets and the improvement of the total family's diet and nutritional welfare. MMH/Adolescent/Young Adult Center for Health Health care and counseling for adolescents and their families. Medical evaluation and treatment including sexually transmitted diseases, eating disorders, family planning, and psychiatric evaluations. Counseling services include family and school problems and substance abuse prevention or early intervention services. Some services are confidential. Eating Disorders Association of New Jersey/I & R Provides information and referral and support concerning anorexia,bulimia, and binge eating. Support groups available in East Brunswick, Hackensack, Montclair, Princeton, Red Bank, and Toms River, Call for more information.
