Separations - Career Service Employees

As a professional courtesy, Career Service employees should inform their managers in writing of intent to resign not less than two weeks in advance of the intended effective date.

A copy of the letter should be forwarded to Human Resources via fax at Ext. 2090.

Upon separation, earned leave balances will be paid in accordance with University policies and procedures.

Separations - Unclassified Employees

Unclassified employees are expected to continue to serve until the completion of the academic year or their term of appointment.

Retirement

Retirement is a very important step in one’s life. The Office of Human Resources staff can assist you in making the transition as easy as possible. Visit or call the Payroll and Benefits department at extension 2124 to obtain information regarding your retirement benefits.

If you have made the decision to retire, we ask that you submit a letter of intent, and copy the Payroll and Benefits Department. Retirements are effective the first day of the month.
