A position may be reclassified when the duties and responsibilities of a position change to the extent that they are longer similar to the duties and responsibilities set forth in the specification. A manager may request a reclassification of a position in their department through the submission of substantiated justification and a proposed job description. Career Service employees may request a reclassification of the position in accordance with the Merit System Rules and Regulations.
