Helpful Hints In Planning Your Special Event
We have prepared this special catering guide and menu planner because of our commitment to provide you with the best possible service. You will find all types of information covering every aspect of food service for your special group. We ask that you read this material and allow us to plan an event just for you!

Menus & Guides
The best menus can be planned if we know the attributes of your group; a working lunch, a light reception, a special event or special guest, an elegant meal or a fun filled extravaganza? These are some key points, which will be of help to us. The items listed in this guide are only suggestions. We are readily available to accommodate your special needs and requests.

The timing of a meal is very important in choosing the menu and style
of service. For example, a three (3) course meal can take one (1) hour to serve in addition to seating time. If there are guest speakers or the need to move on to another meeting, a preset salad and/or dessert can speed service.

Arrangements for access  
Dining Services must have access to all rooms and buildings to set-up for your event, time will vary depending on the number of guests. It is most important that the proper arrangements are made to insure that your event will commence on time. This is the responsibility of the person requesting food service.

Tablecloths and linens are available in many colors. Our Catering Director will be glad to show you samples. Given proper notice, we can order almost any color or combination of colors you wish. China & Linens are included in all premium functions.

Alcohol Service
When and where appropriate, the Hospitality Service Department will serve alcoholic beverages. Servers, supplies and soft drinks are included as part of the service. Alcoholic beverages can only be consumed in licensed locations and may only be sold to or consumed by members of the university community and one guest.
