The Financial Planning Association of William Paterson University of New Jersey Student Chapter is a student club for all business majors from the Christos M. Cotsakos College of Business who have an expressed interest in a career of Financial Planning. We will discuss current and relevant financial strategies as well as have distinguished members from the Financial Planning community present to us their real life experiences as financial planners.
This on campus program allows students the opportunity to network with professionals and their peers that share a common passion in the financial services industry. The Financial Planning Association is a great way for students to differentiate themselves from other prospects when entering the job market. The WPU FPA student chapter is consistently growing and providing students with great opportunities for employment through constant connections with professionals. Students exuberate passion towards the field of financial planning and showcase their skills through at career fairs and professional events. This passion has driven students to win competitions such as the National Financial Planning Challenge in 2010 and placing second in 2011. Students look to repeat their past success in this years competition which is being held in San Antonio, Texas from September 29 to October 2, 2012.
