One scholarship through the Michael Vergauwen Fund to third- and fourth-year college students and graduate students who are dependents of employees or employees of member organizations to pursue a technical degree to be applied to an audiovisual career. Scholarship amount is $5,000.

LAGRANT FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student, and a member of one of the following ethnic groups: African American, Asian Pacific American, Hispanic or Native American.
Undergraduate: Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 and be majoring in a field of study that has an emphasis on public relations, marketing or advertising, or minoring in communications with a desire to pursue a career in public relations, marketing or advertising.

FREDDIE GRUBER SCHOLARSHIP
This annual scholarship, in memory of Buddy Rich and Nick Ceroli, will be in the amount of $2,500 awarded to a college or university student for drumset performance.

JOHN E. GRIMES TIMPANI SCHOLARSHIP

The $1,000 scholarship is open to timpani students (ages 18–26) interested in pursuing the study of period timpani playing. Scholarship may be applied to lessons, travel to study, etc., as long as the focus is baroque/classical period timpani playing. Applicant must be current member of the Percussive Arts Society.

Armand Zildjian Percussion Scholarship
As a charter member of the Percussive Arts Society and a 16-year Trustee of Berklee College Armand Zildjian sought to create more learning opportunities for today’s musicians in both contemporary and classical music. The PAS Armand Zildjian Percussion Scholarship is one step in fulfilling that quest. This annual $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student percussionist enrolled in an accredited college or university school of music.

Remo, Inc. Fred Hoey Memorial Scholarship
Fred Hoey had an illustrious career in the field of music as an author, clinician, and percussion industry innovator. He was a charter member of the Percussive Arts Society and an educator whose influence on percussionists continues with the PAS Fred Hoey Memorial Scholarship. This annual $1000 scholarship is awarded to an incoming college freshman percussionist enrolled in the School of Music at an accredited college or university.

Sabian, Ltd. Larrie Londin Memorial Scholarship
The late Larrie Londin was one of the world’s leading studio drummers. A musician with an adventurous musical spirit, he was a man who liked to share with others. That sharing continues through the PAS/Sabian Larrie Londin Memorial Scholarship. Created to support promising young drummers with their drumset studies, a total of $3,000 is awarded annually.

Yamaha Terry Gibbs Vibraphone Scholarship
The PAS/Yamaha Terry Gibbs Vibraphone Scholarship was established in 2005 in honor of legendary jazz vibraphonist Terry Gibbs. Gibbs is recognized as one of the best ever to grace the genre of bop, having played with artists such as Buddy Rich, Benny Goodman, Charlie Parker and Dizzie Gillespie, and leading his own critically acclaimed big band, The Dream Band. Funded by Yamaha, the $1,000 scholarship will be awarded annually to a full-time student registered in an accredited college or university school of music for the following academic year. The student must also be a member of PAS.

PRINT AND GRAPHICS SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION

Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in the fine or commercial arts, design or architecture. COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF PHYSICS TEACHERS - BARBARA LOTZE SCHOLARSHIP

FOR FUTURE TEACHERS

The AAPT Executive Board offers scholarships for future high school physics teachers. These scholarships, supported by an endowment funded by Barbara Lotze, are available only to U.S. citizens attending U.S. schools. Undergraduate students enrolled, or planning to enroll, in physics teacher preparation curricula and high school seniors entering such programs are eligible. Successful applicants receive a stipend of up to $2,000. The scholarship may be granted to an individual for each of four years.

OUTLAW STUDENT-TEACHER SCHOLARSHIPS

The program offers four scholarships per year exclusively to students who are currently teachers or who are pursuing a degree or course of study with the intent of becoming a teacher. Our scholarships are $500 each and they’re granted every three months. Unlike most scholarship programs, the checks are written directly to you instead of your school, so winners may use the money not only toward tuition, but books, living expenses, etc.

ELIE WIESEL PRIZE IN ETHICS ESSAY CONTEST
Applicant must be a full-time junior or senior undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S.during the fall 2007 semester. Student is required to write thought-provoking personal essays that raise questions, single out issues and are racial arguments for ethical action.
