Learning when and how to access available resources - either to enhance your educational efforts, or for help in overcoming obstacles to achieving your personal and professional goals - is an important part of student development and out-of-class learning. We hope that an essential part of the education you gain at William Paterson University is self-knowledge, a good enough understanding of yourself, the environment and the people surrounding you, that when you need help in taking the next step in your life, you know when and how to access the proper assistance or resources do so. Practicing that skill now, whether by arranging regular annual physicals, utilizing career development resources each year you are here, or becoming involved with others with similar interests in a club or learning community, will better prepare you for life beyond college.
