Faculty Mentoring

      We urge new faculty to find a more experienced colleague in their department to act as a mentor to help them navigate a new and often complicated situation.  Some departments routinely assign mentors to new faculty, but others do not.  The Center works in conjunction with the Provost's office to assign new faculty mentors.  The Center can also act as an intermediary for faculty who are not able to secure a mentor on their own. We can provide resources regarding mentorship as well.
