Dr. Kimberly Buff Prado, DNP, APN-C, is an Assistant Professor at William Paterson University. Dr. Prado graduated in 1995 with a dual certification in acute care and adult nurse practitioner from University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ, now currently Rutgers University. As one of the first nurse practitioners affiliated with Morristown Memorial Medical Center, she initiated and implemented policies and procedures for nurse practitioners. Dr. Prado received a DNP from the University of Medicine and Dentistry in 2010. Her clinical dissertation, Low density lipoprotein particle number predicts coronary artery calcification in asymptomatic adults at intermediate risk of cardiovascular disease, was published in the Journal of Clinical Lipidology, 2011, 5(5), 408-413. She is the recipient of the Sigma theta tau Evidence Base award for implementing protocols from her clinical dissertation into a large multispecialty group.
