Welcome

The chemistry program at William Paterson University is designed to prepare students for challenging careers in science, technology and related fields. Upon graduation students find employment in a wide variety of industries that require expertise in chemistry or they can continue study in graduate programs leading to an advance degree in the physical sciences. Upper level chemistry majors will be trained in the use of modern analytical instrumentation currently used in chemical and biochemical industrial laboratories. All of the chemistry courses and directed electives in physics, biology, computer science, and mathematics that constitute the program have been carefully integrated to provide students with a strong foundation in the physical sciences.
