Nutrition

Interest in nutrition has grown as the role of nutrition in health promotion and disease prevention is increasingly recognized by health professionals and the public. In response to this interest, the Department of Public Health offers a concentration in nutrition for public health education and applied health majors, and a minor in nutrition for students in other majors. Dr. Michele Grodner coordinates the nutrition program.

Nutrition Minor

The Nutrition Minor provides students with introductory and more advanced study of nutrition through the lifespan and of social issues impacting the nutritional status of Americans.

The minor consists of 18 credits, 15 required and 3 elective.

Curriculum Requirements for the Minor in Nutrition (Non-Public Health Majors)

 

Nutrition Concentration

The Nutrition Concentration provides students with introductory and more advanced study of nutrition through the lifespan and of social issues impacting the nutritional status of Americans.

The Nutrition Concentration consists of 18 credits, 15 credits of a required "core" curriculum and 3 elective credits.
