The William Paterson University Nursing program is a 4 year Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. It requires 129 college credits. There are 5 pre-requisite courses that must be completed prior to taking NUR 212 and NUR 214 in the fall of your sophomore year. They are:
Nursing courses begin in the Fall of the Sophomore year and continue for 3 years. Part-time options are available. Students who wish to complete the program on a part- time basis are encouraged to take all pre and corequisite courses and general education courses prior to beginning nursing courses. A Nursing advisor will be assigned to help sequence the courses appropriately. Many general education courses are available with day, evening, week-end and on-line options. Nursing courses usually must be taken during the daytime. Most evening nursing course sections are reserved for Registered Nurses earning a BSN. Clinical laboratory courses during the Sophomore year are one day a week on campus and one day at the clinical agency. Junior and Senior clinical lab courses are held in the clinical agency two days a week. We contract with over 20 agencies in a 25 mile radius of William Paterson University.
