The Program
The program is designed for professional registered nurses who have previously earned a Master's degree with a major in nursing and who now want to become certified as Adult Nurse Practitioners The department of nursing currently offers a community-based Masters degree in Nursing with an Advanced Clinical Practice track. Students in the certificate program will complete the necessary theory and practicum course requirements in this track in order to be eligible to sit for the Adult Nurse Practitioner certiciation examination (AANP or ANCC).
Requirements
Students in the certificate program will need to complete a minimum of 30 credits.

A minimum of 500 clinical supervised hours are requried.
